The Reading Adventures digital program supports students to consolidate their phonics skills, improve fluency and test their comprehension of the Reading Adventures texts.
The four digital student activities provide phonics practise at sound, word and sentence level, supporting students to recognise grapheme-phoneme correspondences, blend sounds to make words, and make and read sentences. The quiz checks their level of understanding of the books they have read.
Sound Search
Recognise the phonemes: Match the letters to the
sounds.
Say the phonemes: Read and record the phonemes
that match the letters (scored by AI).
Word Work
Read the word: Read and record the word (scored by AI).
Write the word: Listen to the word and select the correct graphemes to write the word.
Sentence Maker
Write the sentence: Select the correct words to complete a voiced sentence.
Read the sentence: Read and record the sentence (scored by AI).
Quiz (Comprehension)
A five-question quiz for each book tests comprehension of the story. There are single answer questions, multiple answer questions, yes/no questions and a match the phrases activity.
Student Rewards
Fun animations follow the completion of tasks to motivate and encourage the student. Printable, personalised certificates are awarded to the student on completion of every book.
Results
Student results are saved to the administration area which teachers can access at any convenient time.
